We are proudly serving the Greater Washington DC area.
Federal Medicare and Commercial Insurance companies have made it very difficult to provide patients with the shoe services they need. Infinite Technologies is the only company in our area that continues to treat patients who need shoes and inserts. For your convenience, we have started a weekly shoe clinic, to continue to meet your needs.
Our shoe clinic services include:
- Diabetic Shoes and Inserts
- Orthopedic Shoes and Inserts
- Custom Foot Orthotics
- Shoe Lifts and Heel Lifts
- Shoe Wedges and Shoe Modifications
What to Expect at our Clinic
Diabetic Shoes and Inserts:
Prior to scheduling your appointment at our weekly shoe clinic, we require documentation to be completed by the physician that is ordering your shoes and the physician that treats you for your diabetic condition. Having this documentation on file prior to scheduling your appointment will allow us to provide your service without interruption or delay.
If you have not already received a green folder from your ordering doctor, please call our office, 877-424- 7179, or email email@example.com to get the paperwork sent to you. If you have already received a folder from your doctor, then you may call the office to schedule the pre-visit checklist is complete. If you have questions regarding the paperwork, please contact the doctor that needs to fill it out, as they are familiar with the forms and are able to answer those questions.
Please bring all completed paperwork with you to your initial evaluation appointment. If you do not have the paperwork, or it is not complete, we will need to reschedule your appointment. This is because insurance is very strict regarding the dates on your paperwork. During your initial appointment you will receive a comprehensive evaluation by a certified practitioner with a focus on the prescribed footwear. Other recommendations may be made by your practitioner and if you choose to pursue them, additional documentation may be required from your physician. Once you have been evaluated, the practitioner will let the billing department know exactly what you need. At this time, the billing department will speak with you regarding the cost of the device and available payment options. Payment is due at the time of evaluation.
Non Diabetic Shoes/Inserts and Custom Foot Orthotics:
Prior to scheduling an appointment, you will need a prescription from your doctors. These devices are typically considered non-covered services by your insurance company. Your initial evaluation appointment is free, and you will be evaluated by one of our certified practitioners. After evaluation, someone from our billing department will speak with you about the cost of the recommended items. When calling to schedule an appointment, please let our office know you have a prescription for non-diabetic shoes and/or inserts and are ready to schedule for our shoe clinic.
Shoe Lifts and Heel Lifts:
Prior to scheduling an appointment, you will need a prescription from your doctor. During your evaluation, our practitioner will measure and determined which lift is needed. Shoe lifts that are applied to the outside of your shoe is a service only provided to patients that are also purchasing a pair of shoes or another device from our office. If you are not purchasing a pair of shoes and you are not receiving another device form us, then we may refer you directly to a shoe cobbler for service. Heel lifts can be fitted and applied inside of a patient’s shoes during your appointment.
Shoe Wedges or Other Shoe Modifications:
Prior to scheduling an appointment, you will need a prescription from your doctor. These additions are typically considered non-covered services by your insurance company. Your initial evaluation is free, and you will be evaluated by one of our certified practitioners. After evaluation, someone from our billing department will speak with you about the cost for the recommend item(s). When calling to schedule an appointment, please let them our office know you have a prescription for a shoe wedge or shoe modification.
